It always feels good to be able to say that you know how good the book to a movie is. Let’s figure out what your “To Be Read” list is before these adaptations come out!
1) “Where The Crawdad Sings
This standalone book written by Delia Owens will be coming to theaters on July 15, 2022. The book had topped The New York Times Fiction Best Sellers of 2019 and The New York Times Fiction Best Sellers of 2020 for a combined 32 non-consecutive weeks.
2) “White Bird”
The fictional story was written by R. J. Palacio and will be adapted into a movie on October 14, 2022. The release date for the movie was even moved forward a month so you have the extra time to read the book.
3) “Salem’s Lot”
Salem's Lot is a 1975 horror novel by American author Stephen King. It was his second-ever published novel and will be coming to your screen soon.
4) “The Time Travelers Wife”
This book was hot and will be coming to your screen on HBO on May 15, 2022. Clare and Henry's love story involves marriage with a problem -- time travel. Make sure to take the time….(pun intended) and read this bnefore it comes out next month.
5) “The Wonder”
In the book written by Emma Donoghue, she makes a note that the narrative was inspired by a real life phenomenon between the 16th and 20th century called the 'Fasting Girls. This movie will be coming out in 2022 and will be starring a fan favorite— Florence Pugh. I mean, c’mon.
6) “Blonde”
Blonde is a bestselling 2000 historical novel by Joyce Carol Oates that chronicles the inner life of Marilyn Monroe. The movie is set to come out later this year and will be starring Ana De Armas.
7) “Persuasion”
The book written by the one and only Jane Austen will be adapted on screen in 2022 on Netflix. It stars Dakota Johnson, Henry Golding, Cosmo Jarvis, Suki Waterhouse, and Richard E. Grant. We love a classic!
8) “Stars at Noon”
The Stars at Noon is a 1986 novel by Denis Johnson that is coming to your screen in May of 2022. Edward Cullen…AHEM….Robert Pattinson will be in this movie and this means that we have no choice but to read the book before the release.
9) “Luckiest Girl Alive”
Luckiest Girl Alive is a 2015 New York Times Bestselling mystery novel written by the American author Jessica Knoll and will be coming to screen in 2022. It will be released on Netflix and will be availible to stream this year.
10) “Conversations With Friends”
Conversations with Friends is the 2017 debut novel by the Irish author Sally Rooney and is going to be made into a TV series on Hulu.
